Packing can be one of the most stressful parts of any trip — especially for travelers who are neurodivergent or require extra support. Whether you're preparing for a one-day outing or an overnight adventure, having the right items (and the right plan) makes all the difference.
At Adventure Without Limits, we’re here to take the guesswork out of packing — so you can focus on what matters most: fun, confidence, and comfort.
🧳 What Kind of Trip Are You Packing For?
Every trip has different needs. Use the packing list that fits your plans:
Day Trips: Weather-appropriate clothing, water bottle, medications, small bag, and comfort items
Overnight Trips: Add PJs, toiletries, backup clothes, personal supports, and comfort routines
Weather-Specific: Don’t forget sunscreen, a rain jacket, or layers depending on the forecast
*For overnight and longer trips, a packing list will be sent via email at least two weeks before your trip.
🧠 Helpful Packing Tips
✅ Create a checklist and review it together
✅ Pack early to reduce stress and increase independence
✅ Use packing cubes or zip-top bags to organize items
✅ Label everything clearly — especially medications and gear
✅ Include a comfort item (stuffed animal, sensory item, fidget, etc.)
✅ Practice packing together to build confidence
💊 Medication Reminders
Adventure Without Limits does not administer medications, including popping pills from bubble packs.
To ensure safety and ease during your trip:
✅ All medications must be prepackaged in a sealed envelope or bag for each dose✅ Each envelope must be clearly labeled with:
Traveler’s name
Name of the medication
Date and exact time of administration
We’re happy to provide verbal reminders, but travelers must be able to take their own medications as packaged.
🔄 Bonus Tip:
We highly recommend packing at least one extra day of medication, in case of:
Travel delays
A dropped or lost dose
Unexpected needs
📄 A medication form will be provided via email prior to the trip and must be completed and returned before travel. This helps us ensure every traveler’s safety and support needs are fully understood.
