What to Expect on an Adventure Without Limits Trip

Travel should be exciting, accessible, and empowering for everyone-including adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. That's why I created Adventure Without Limits: to give people the chance to explore, connect, and enjoy unforgettable experiences in a way that feels comfortable and inclusive.

My name is Phil Niles, the founder of Adventure Without Limits. I've worked for years in disability services and understand how important it is for every person to feel safe, supported, and respected while having fun and building independence. Every trip is designed with this in mind.

Here's what you can expect when you join one of our trips:

Person-Centered Planning

Each trip is carefully planned with the unique needs of our travelers in mind. We offer low staff-to-traveler ratios to ensure plenty of support-but only when it's needed. We believe in promoting independence, so we provide just the right level of help based on each person's comfort and request.

Pre-trip Meet & Greet

We offer first-time travelers the chance to schedule a meet-and-greet with me-either virtually or in person. It's a relaxed way to ask questions. get to know each other, and build comfort before the trip begins. We've found this extra step really helps make the travel experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Clear Expectations

Each trip includes details descriptions of activities, walking requirements, transportation plans, meals, and accessibility considerations. We want families, support teams, and travelers to feel fully informed before booking a trip with us.

Transportation Made Simple

We offer pickup and drop-off from convenient park & Ride locations along the 95 belt within Maine. These sites are chosen for ease of access and safety. Route information is always clearly listed for each trip.

Social Connections & Community

Group trips are a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy shared experiences. Whether it's exploring a new town, enjoying a concert, or relaxing by the ocean, travelers often build friendships that extend beyond the trip.

A Safe, Respectful Environment

Phil Niles is a trained professional who understands the importance of inclusion, dignity, and consent. We uphold strong safety protocols and never pressure anyone to participate in an activity they're uncomfortable with.
